Pole Dance Fitness
According to our philosophy, Pole Dance Fitness is for everyone. There is no limit to age, fitness level, size and gender. We welcome both male and female students. Depending on your style, your unique way of self-expression, you can think about Pole Dance Fitness as a dance, as a performance art or as a sport. We can help you to reach your goal, whatever it is; i.e. losing weight, reducing body fat, building strength, toning muscle, improving coordination, becoming a performer, having fun, finding a friendly community or preparing for pole competitions.
What is Pole Dance Fitness?
Pole Dance Fitness is a unique way of body work-out centred on a vertical pole. Pole Dance Fitness combines dance moves with strength, flexibility and cardiovascular exercises, acrobatics on the floor as well as on a static or spinning pole. Pole Dance Fitness is never boring; fun and laughter are basic elements of our classes.
Pole Dance Fitness and Health
Pole Dance Fitness is a whole body work-out with a particular focus on muscular and core strength. Many Pole Dance Fitness moves require you to use your own body weight. Through repetition and practice you gradually became stronger and able to try more advanced and acrobatic moves.
Pole Dance Fitness is a very intense exercise for your core, as many of the moves involve rotation and inversion of your body. A strong core will help you avoid injury and your muscles will work in harmony. This leads to better balance and stability in class as well as in daily activities.
Pole Dance Fitness is great for calorie burning: a beginner can expect to burn 250-400 calories per hour. An advanced pole practitioner could burn up to 700 calories.
Pole Dance Fitness can be beneficial later on in life when you decide to have a child. It develops exceptionally strong back and abdominal muscles, which helps minimize back pain during pregnancy and actually helps you have a smoother and less painful childbirth.
Pole Dance Fitness and Emotional Benefits
Pole Dance Fitness is for everyone, and anyone can learn the fundamentals. Even the most basic move can boost self-esteem, and look beautifully impressive! An intense Pole Dance Fitness session will help you blow out all that adrenaline and you will be calmer and happier after a good workout. Regular Pole Dance Fitness training will ensure that you get a good night’s sleep every time you hit the sack.
Pole Dance Fitness wear
You can wear longer trousers as a beginner, but you'll need shorts in order to grip the pole with your legs in more advanced moves.
Choose shorts with a decent amount of coverage and a top that you'll stay contained in.
Don't wear any rings or other jewellery as they may catch on or scratch the pole.
You can have socks, ballerina shoes, leg warmers on your feet, but the more advanced you are the more we use bare feet when climbing on poles.
Pole Dance Fitness and your skincare
Please, do not apply moisturiser 24 hours before your pole lesson. If you do so the pole becomes slippery as a result of sweat, which prevents you from learning new tricks. Greasy poles can also be dangerous.
What to bring to Pole Dance Fitness lessons?
Please bring a small-sized hand towel so that you can clean the pole any time you feel it is slippery whilst using, or according to your hygienic level. During the lessons we provide specific cleaning material for the poles.
